RSPCA Cymru is part of the RSPCA; a registered charity that, by all lawful means, works to prevent cruelty, promote kindness to and alleviate the suffering of animals.
We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome thousands of animals in Wales each year.
RSPCA inspectors and officers operate in three groups across Wales - covering South East Wales, South West Wales and North Wales; providing a 24/7 response for animals in need.
There are two national RSPCA animal centres based in Wales - at Newport, and Bryn-Y-Maen at Upper Colwyn Bay; providing hundreds of rescue animals with a second chance of happiness each and every year.
The RSPCA is the leading enforcer of animal welfare legislation, receiving around 50,000 calls each year from people in Wales about animal welfare and cruelty.
In Wales, the range of the RSPCA's work also encompasses:
* Advising the Welsh Government, local authorities and other decision makers on animal welfare law and policy.
* Helping to shape the future of animal welfare through education.
* Campaigning to improve the lives of animals in Wales.
RSPCA Cymru's news blog features hundreds of news articles each year from the RSPCA Cymru Press Office, focused on the breadth of the charity's work in Wales. Please also visit RSPCA Cymru's Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram channels for more information.
