Age Connects Morgannwg is the operating title of Age Concern Morgannwg, a charity for older people living in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil.
We are about older people getting the help they want, when they want it. We work to ensure that those who are vulnerable and at risk are kept safe. We empower older people to be heard, to have choice and control, so they don’t feel isolated or discriminated against and that they receive the support and services they need. Our work is driven by what older people say matters most to them and their voices are at the heart of all that we do.
Since 1977, Age Concern Morgannwg has been here to help and support older people through some of the most difficult times in their life. Over the years, many thousands of people living in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil and Bridgend have found companionship, laughter, new interests and a listening ear in the staff and volunteers who are the beating heart of this charity.
Some people come to us when they’re not sure where to turn. They may be recovering from illness or bereavement, they may be facing or experiencing redundancy from a job they love and have enjoyed for many years. They may be worried about their finances or struggling to cope in any one or a dozen of ways. At Age Concern Morgannwg they found practical help, professional advice, a degree of dependability and a continuity of service and support that isn’t available anywhere else. They find people who care about the challenges they face. They find help.
Age Connects Morgannwg is no different. We are the same charity, with the same great staff and volunteers, only our name has changed.
