A unique and one off real 're - cycled' chair. This solid beech chair was saved from entering the waste stream and has been lovingly restored and repaired.
The beech frame has been gently sanded and finished with a clear wax to give a soft finish.The seat has been hand woven from old bicycle inner tubes again saved from entering the waste stream.This is such a unique piece, extremely comfy to sit on, displaying quirky features of puncture repair pads and stamped lettering depicting inner tube sizes.
Sold by the Pembrokeshire Remakery , a community project with the aim of re-educating the community in repair and mend and contributing to reducing the amount of household items that enter the waste stream. By offering workshops, training and opportunities to share skills the Remakery involves the local community in repairing furniture, textiles, computers, mechanical items and basic home electrical goods. Empowering confidence, skills, employment and helping to tackle the global issue of waste reduction.
