Julia gathers the Sea Lettuce (Ulva lactuca) sustainably from the seashore in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Our skin likes this seaweed’s nutrients such as beta-carotene, potassium, zinc and iodine which they absorb directly from the ocean, and amazingly these nutrients are more potent than they are in land plants.
Seaweed is naturally anti-inflammatory and full of beneficial vitamins and minerals. It has excellent skin-boosting properties that improve condition and stimulate production and repair of collagen.
It is hydrating and rejuvenating and protects the skin from damage caused by exposure to ultraviolet B radiation from sunlight. Sea lettuce helps to prevent fine lines from forming and keeps the skin revitalised, moisturised, and youthful.
Really Wild Soaps are natural, mild, nourishing and have not been tested on animals nor do they contain any animal fats. They are all palm oil free but still retain the rich natural glycerine that is normally discarded in commercial soaps.
The wild ingredients are collected locally from the hedgerows, coastline and seashore. Some of my soaps contain honey and beeswax as they have such amazing properties.
All packaging is environmentally friendly and biodegradable
